Supporting your child’s career planning: A Workshop for parents and carers of young people with disability.

Career planning is relevant for all young people regardless of whether they have a disability or not. Children require support and encouragement to join the world of work - those who can enter mainstream employment should be encouraged and supported to do so.

Career counselling places the individual at the centre of decision-making and supports goal setting, planning, and capacity building. Parents and those who support their child at school can play a vital role in helping young people to navigate the world of work and prepare for employment or further study.

Learn how individual needs vary and how you can support this important skill development process (tools and resources provided).
