Leah Pappas

Bio:

Leah is a professional careers practitioner with CEAV Career Counselling Australia. She provides careers consultancy services in all areas of career development, contributes to professional learning programs, and provides careers counselling to the community, especially those most vulnerable. 

Leah has a background in Accounting as an Office Manager and staff training with extensive experience working in manufacturing industries and has worked as a TAFE teacher in Finance and Accounting with extensive experience in VET and Higher Education. She has managed several projects with the Department of Education and Training, including the World of Work on Wheels and the Ready Set Go Program delivering career education across metropolitan Melbourne, and regional and remote areas of Victoria. More recently working on the Community Revitalisation Project with the City of Greater Dandenong, City of Hume, and the City of Moonee Valley, providing career development workshops and one to one career counselling utilising the Employment Readiness Scale ™ (ERS).

Leah has experience in providing career counselling to those most vulnerable in the community who are experiencing multiple complex barriers to gaining employment. Leah feels it is important to empower individuals with the right resources and skills to help them become stronger and more work ready to increase their chances of gaining and sustaining employment now and into the future. Leah has experience in developing career education materials, professional resume writing, cover letters, interviews, job search strategies and answering selection criteria and providing input into preparing social media profiles for employment.





Daniela Salvatore

Project Coordinator and Professional Careers Practitioner, CCCA

Qualifications:
Graduate Certificate in Career Development Practice, Certificate IV in International Business, Bachelors (Honours) Degree in Chemistry

Bio:

Daniela is a qualified Professional Careers Practitioner with CEAV Career Counselling Australia. She has over 8 years of consultative, technical and highly professional research and business development experience, within the Science sector.

Daniela has developed strong industry and student engagement experience as a lead trainer in the JobsPath Program and as a Project Officer in the delivery of the CCCA - Building Ability through Career Management program (BACM), working with young people with disability.

Daniela is passionate about helping others develop and fulfill their potential with a particular interest in supporting culturally diverse and disadvantaged communities. Daniela is currently coordinating and supporting a range of clients through the CCCA career guidance services within the City of Hume in the Community Revitalisation Project.





Deirdre Brown

Project Officer and Professional Careers Practitioner, CCCA

Bio:

Dee is a qualified careers practitioner with CEAV Career Counselling Australia with a background in Social Work and Community Services in both the UK and Australia. She has worked for local and state governments, not-for-profit organisations across a range of industries including, disability services, Vocational Education and Training (VET) and employment services.

Dee has recently been involved in the Community Revitalisation Project at the City of Greater Dandenong in the Work Ready Program, where she provided professional career counselling, utilising the Employment Readiness Scale ™(ERS). The Project aim was to assist the most vulnerable job seekers in the community who wanted to work, but were having trouble gaining employment. Dee assisted a range of clients from diverse backgrounds, experiencing complex barriers to move towards becoming work ready, transition to study and training or employment. Dee also provides career counselling to the public through CCCA at Greensborough or via online e-Counselling using Zoom.

Dee is passionate about helping people gain career direction and help them to develop and fulfil their potential and has had extensive experience assisting people with disability.





Lynn Davis

Professional Careers Practitioner, CCCA

Studying a Master of Counselling, Graduate Diploma Career Education and Development, Graduate Certificate of Information Technology (Business), Graduate Certificate Business Management, Project Management, TAE40116 Cert IV Training and Assessment

Bio:

Lynn is passionate about working with marginalised groups, coaching, and mentoring students from diverse backgrounds. She is committed to the belief that supporting and providing guidance and access to opportunity for an individual can change the course of a generation.

Lynn is a qualified Professional Careers Practitioner with over 20 years in an international corporate career with experience in project management, leadership, account management, training and management in restoring mission-critical business services in the high-tech industry with people of diverse cultures and perspectives. In each of these roles, Lynn was the communication conduit between executive groups, customers, suppliers, and software developers - stakeholders across the globe.

The diversity of Lynn’s experience has broadened and enriched her world culturally.  As a natural and interesting by-product of her daily interactions as a Careers Practitioner, she finds herself actively engaging in cross-cultural education through community and agency whilst concurrently developing strong cross-industry awareness and connections.

Lynn is currently coordinating schools and resources for their participation in the State-funded My Career Insights Program.  The program provides aptitude assessment using the Morrisby tool followed by individual career interviews for all year 9 public school students across Victoria.  She also provides creative careers counselling to the broader community through CEAV Careers Counselling Australia (CCCA).
